FAQ
Frequently asked questions about Zoe Meachem Yoga classes in Worcester and Bromsgrove, Worcestershire.
Which of your classes is best suited to me?
There are lots of different classes available so if you are unsure please contact Zoe. Here is a general guide below but ages/stages can be flexible depending on you and your baby.
The Fourth Trimester: Baby Massage and Postpartum Yoga - Suitable from birth, this class is idea in the first 4 months after birth.
Postnatal Mum and Baby Yoga - Your baby needs to be 8 weeks old to take part in these classes. After a vaginal birth you can attend these classes from 8 weeks postpartum, if you had surgery such as a c-section it's a good idea to wait until 12 weeks postpartum. These are guidelines so please listen to your body and don't rush returning to exercise until you feel completely ready.
Pregnancy Yoga - Suitable from 14 weeks pregnant right until your baby is born.
Women's Yoga - Suitable for all women (outside of pregnancy) supporting all women through life phases such as perimenopause, menopause, motherhood.
Hypnobirthing - These classes are for birthing parents and their partners. Usually from around 20 weeks is ideal but you can attend at any time before your babies birth.
Therapeutic Yoga for Relaxation - All ages and genders welcome. A relaxing class to balance your nervous system and access a state of calm.
Is Women's Yoga right for me if I'm in perimenopause?
Yes, this class is perfect for this stage of life.
Perimenopause can bring hot flushes, disrupted sleep, mood swings and a nervous system that feels permanently on edge. The slow Vinyasa and Yin blend in Women's Yoga is deeply restorative, longer held poses and a slower pace help calm an overactive nervous system, which can ease both sleep disruption and hot flushes over time.
Breathwork is woven throughout, giving you tools to steady mood swings and anxiety in the moment, not just on the mat.
And perhaps most importantly, this is a community. Perimenopause can be an isolating time, many women go through it quietly. The opening sharing circle gives you a space to be heard by other women navigating the same thing, so you leave feeling less alone, not just less tense.
Can I book a private class?
