Yoga for Relaxation

A Therapeutic, Rebalancing Practice

Life can often feel overwhelming, overstimulating, and full of pressure. Yoga offers a powerful way to bring our nervous systems back into balance—into the “green zone” of optimal functioning—by helping us access the parasympathetic nervous system, our state of “rest and digest.”

Zoe has been guiding people through relaxing and mindful practices for many years and is currently deepening her training through Yoga Therapy. Yoga for Relaxation is a weekly class held in a consistent group setting (term bookings support this), allowing you to build trust, familiarity, and connection with those you practice alongside. This creates a Sangha—a sense of community—which further nourishes the nervous system through safe, social connection. In today’s digital world, this kind of in-person support is more important than ever, helping ease feelings of isolation.

Each session begins with a reflective sharing circle—a space to pause, connect, and be seen. This nurturing environment encourages self-awareness, intention-setting, and a sense of belonging, forming the foundation for the healing yoga practice that follows.

The physical yoga practice (Asana) is somatic, mindful, and intuitive—always guided by the breath. This helps stimulate the vagus nerve, and supports nervous system regulation.

Sessions include a soothing blend of:

  • Gentle Vinyasa Yoga – flowing, mindful movement to release tension and support presence

  • Yin Yoga – stillness and long-held postures to stretch deeply and slow the pace

  • Yoga Nidra – guided rest to nourish the body and calm the mind

Classes are attuned to the cycles of nature, the moon, and the rhythms of life, offering a space to unwind, reset, and return to yourself.

Come as you are - all are welcome!

WHAT PEOPLE SAY

Helena Corbett

It has truly changed my life for the better, attending the Worcester class on a Monday night to kick-start the week in such a peaceful, balanced, and beautiful way. Reflecting with the other ladies really starts the week in the best way and clears/balances the mind.

The gentle yoga, even once a week, has allowed me to stretch areas of my body more freely and with ease since 2 abdominal surgeries earlier this year. It allows me to test my limits safely whilst also maintaining a healthy posture/positions as well as observing the breath, which training yourself to do so has made a positive impact on me in that it lessens my anxiety, is a grounding technique for me now- it has become a habit and easier as time has passed, and calms my mind in general. T

he ladies who attend are all so so lovely, kind, compassionate and empathetic with their own stories sharing as much or as little as they like; truly a calm and happy start to the week- even if somebody isn't feeling great, we lift each other up all because of Zoe bringing us together in Yoga practice. I finally found my yoga teacher/circle/practice after searching for many years. Highly recommend 👌 X
